In addition to her middle grade fiction, Laura writes publicity, marketing and other communications for a wide-ranging list of businesses and organizations. Among her public relations clients over the years have been the Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, John Wayne Cancer Institute, Center Theatre Group, A Noise Within, Ojai Music Festival, Native Voices at the Autry, Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, and many others.
Her published credits include collaboration on the travel book Only in New York. As a free-lance writer, her feature stories have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, Westways Magazine, the Christian Science Monitor, Hollywood Bowl Magazine, Los Angeles Daily News and many others.
Laura’s popular LOS ANGELES MEDIA MOVES blog, which ran from 2007 to 2011, served as a valuable resource for Southern California publicists and featured news about (mainly) LA-area media outlets. It’s archived HERE.
